    Headlight and ignition?

Could putting an extra wire with a fuse in the head light to get it working have affect on the ignition?

My headlight was repaired this way, and then it was taken out as the broken wire was found. Then it would not start and the ignition is presumed to be at fault.

No. Provided there is still power from the battery then it should start. Make sure the kill switch isn't on or somehow damaged or disconnected. Make sure a wire didn't get pulled off the ignition switch or awywhere for that matter. If you really get stuck, you can measure the voltage getting to the ignition unit. If the voltage isn't getting to it, you have to trace the electrical circuit and find out where the break is.
