Funny thing going on with my indicators

    Hey Gang,

Last week my left indicator started working intermittently (whole side including the turn light on the dash), which made me think my switch was playing up.

Well I just pulled the switch apart, gave it a clean, and put it back together. Managed to get the left hand side working again but for some reason it flashes slower then the right hand side. All the bulbs flash.

Any one have any ideas why I would be getting a difference on each side?

    Bike is my RG150

    cheers,

The little flasher unit is designed to flash faster if one of the bulbs burns out. This is to warn you that the bulb has burned out. The flashing speed is detmined by the amount of current going through the flasher unit. If you have a poor electrical connection on one side, that side will flash slower. If someone has put in the wrong wattage lamp in one of the indicators, that will cause the flashing rate to be different. Clean all your contacts on your lamps and in the switch and make sure all the lamps are the same wattage.
