I noted that Triumph dealers have a scale model of the Eakin's Scrambler that did the jump.
They also have a quite exquisite Vetter Hurricane. (Oh yes, it will be mine)
Robert C also tells me that Mr Vetter is coming to NZ next year. Will be trying to hook up for an interview.
Vetter Hurricane is the best looking triumph ever made IMO.
Never too old to Rock n Roll.

I've got miserly tourettes and I don't give a fuck.
Bang on. It was purely for insurance reasons. Bud Ekins was a bit bemused that he had to even do the job, but didn't complain about being given a car and the odd 5 days off here and there to explore places like Venice.
The jump was done in one take, because Bud set up a test jump that cleared 10 feet and was 65 ft of air to test it. There is a rumour that Mr McQueen completed practice jumps without any issues, as you'd expect from an ISDE competitor.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
