    That's what I was thinking.
Well, actually my initial reaction was that Rossi was at fault. But now you've all got me confused!

I've captured the 3 races off of prime and I'll encode them as .avi's (compressed with XviD). They're captured at 640x480 pixels and are pretty good quality, I'll have to wait and see what size they turn out, but it's possible I'll be able to fit all 3 on a cd.

For anyone that wants to see the corner footage, check the attachment. It's low resolution and quite highly compressed, but quite viewable. (when I encode the whole race, it'll be much better quality).

My personal feelings on this are Rossi has Sete headfucked. He always has. The prime example of this is when they were on the podium and Rossi (grinning) handed out his hand to Sete. Sete paused for the longest time, didn't want to shake with Rossi, and then realised he had no choice and reluctantly shook his hand.

And that sums up the on and off track competition between the two, no matter where they each are in relation to the other. Rossi calls the shots. I really don't think, as good a rider as Sete is, and as good as his bike may be, he does not have the mental fortitude to really beat Rossi.

Rossi is very, very much like Schummacher. If you remove the slight differences in their personalities as being down to one's an Italian, and one's a German. But they're both the sort of athletes who have a talent that goes beyond words. They both have the on and off track tacticle abilities second to none. And neither is shy of pushing boundries. Some of you F1 fans will remember the Shummie/Dammon Hill incident.

Another way of describing the Rossi/Sete relationship is, I bet Rossi seldom thinks about Sete. I also think Sete can't stop thinking about Rossi, and his sleep is possessed by him.

This isn't just a random incident. Rossi has a history of "outbraking himself" while trying to overtake, blocking the other riders line and conviniently running him off the track. After watching that incident I couldn't believe that Rossi had the gall to wheelie away and punch the air in victory.

That said, Sete left the door wide open. I couldn't believe that he didn't take a more defensive line. But then watching Rossi's bike I reckon if Gibernau had taken a defensive line he would've been hit hard from behind. I guess Gibernau just lost his cool, cause he could've let Rossi go under him and run wide, then just turn it in, apex late and ride away.

Rossi had the line, Gibernau turned in on him. If Rossi was too hot Gibernau should have crossed under him on the exit. Unless MotoGP has different rules from the rest of motorsport, Gibernau was in the wrong.
Then to sulk and hold his widdy, biddy sore arm, he's going to be known as Sister Gibernau from now on.

    Muhahahaha!!!

And in my opinion, Sete knows how Rossi attacks and left the door open. Rossi, being Rossi, came in hard on a tight line and was even with Sete's bike if not slightly in front before Sete turned in on him. Rossi is the man. IMMHO.

I've got the main motogp race encoded. Not sure if I'll bother with the 250s and 125s.
The finished avi is 701MB and just fits on a single CD. It's 640x480 resolution.
But I'm also having a go at making a 384x288 350MB file, the tv capture isn't particularly sharp, and it doesn't look much worse watching the lower resolution version fullscreen.
Anyway, if anyone wants a copy, they can download either version off me over dc++, just pm me and I'll get on it (I'm not currently online). Or we can arrange for you to get it on CD for the cost of the CD and postage (if it's posted).
Or take a look in gav's thread here: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=10854
where you can download a .wmv version that is slightly worse quality (but smaller filesize).

I ended up watching the Jerez live on my computer on the MotoGP website. (I've paid for a subscription, about $55NZD for the season). Primes coverage was delayed about half an hour as they were still showing the 250's at 12.10 when the lights changed. Interesting though as even the live feed must be delayed slightly as you have all sorts of options on the website, I had a live timing screen open as well to see how the guys lower done were doing. When Hayden crashed out he disappeared off the timing chart but it was a good 5 minutes before it showed on the web coverage, very bizarre, as I thought maybe his tronsponder or something packed up, as he was still lapping. Don't think I'll bother doing it again as just way to confusing esp at that time of night
