been signed up with Fatso for a year or so now. They send the dvds to you as soon as you return any so that you will always have 2, 3, or however many your scheme allows. After you have been with them a while they even send them to you before they receive the old ones. the only down side is you have to give them a list of 20 or so dvds you want and they will send them from that list so you never know exactly which ones you will get

I tried fatso a while back but ended up going with Movieshack as I found many of the Fatso disks were scratched enough to cause problems playing whereas the movieshack ones were, on the whole clean as a whistle...

things might have changed at fatso since then though.

Have been using Fatso for a couple of months now. Probably gone through 20+ discs. Not one has given me any problems.
The service is very quick using the fast post mailing system.

Fatso is excellent for watching TV series. I'm working my way through the Battlestar Gallactica series at present. Have just done the first season of 24.
Got some PS3 games on rental too.

All in all, Its a fantastic service. I don't see myself ever going back to a video store again. (Nor sky for that matter).

they're convenient - no late fees, reliable. But don't expect to get too many new releases within a few months of them beling released - they stay in the cue for a long time. Their new releases are also later being stocked than, say, Videoezy.
Quite a few of the DVDs I've got from Fatso have been labled movieshack so I thought they may have merged.
Fatso is also a good source of blurays as well as the more obscure DVD's and TV series

How does it work? Doesn't it cost a fortune, I mean going to the video shop costs 2$ gas and a doller a movie...

Yep, we use Fatso. I find it really good and have only had a few issues with skipping DVD's - and they'll always send you a replacement if you want. Generally we receive DVD's the day after they're sent.

We're on a plan where we can have up to 2 DVD's at a time but there's no overall limit - I think we pay around $28 a month. Works out cheaper cos at the local DVD store new releases are $8.00 a pop. Downsides would be that you don't get DVD's straight away and may have to wait to get movies that are new.

I've done the downloading to death and found that the money needed to beef up my Internet account can buy me Fatso plan.

Besides, I'm sick of download quality now, I'm now borrowing mainly Blurays from Fatso. It's no extra charge for a Bluray and the collection is awesome.
Also, not everyone has bluray yet so you generally get the movies you're after.

I'm on a 4 disc unlimited plan, approx $42 per month.
I have hired no less than 20 discs in the last month, thats about $2 a bluray hire. A good rate.
Fatso send you the discs with a postage paid return fastpost envelope. So you don't pay any extra for postage. Just your monthly flat rate. You simply drop the discs in any NZ post mail box when you're done.

Also, The second you finished a movie, you can log into your account and click returned and have the next movie you want dispatched immediately. You don't have to wait till your movies are received back at Fatso. See my attachment example that shows I have 5 discs out (on my 4 disc plan), thats because one is still on it's way to being returned. You don't get charged extra for working your account like this.

I've attached a sample of my past 30 days hire. Sorry html wouldn't attach. I tried to save html as a doc. Kind of worked.

If anyone wants to try the 2 week free trial, let me know. I'll send you the 2 week invitation. Just make sure you don't change your plan during the trial or you'll commence the billing cycle by doing so.
