I suspect that New Zealand is the only country in the world where students come out of University with a regional accent.

Helen Clark has an even worse speaking accent.

I googled "John Key" and got Prime minister of New Zealand, recently replacing a bunch of crooks and liars!

Sounds OK to me, don't like National much but they are better than Liabour!

He seems like a generally nice guy and for a PM pretty humble...conservative Kiwi but prepared to get involved...I am sure he was a bit nervous on the show but agree..good on him...

You are correct, he did do very well under the limited circumstances.

I suspect that any yanks that were thinking of coming to NZ would not have been put off.
