Zapf's call but if you're coming from Tauranga maybe Kopu but if ya short on time and the guys head up the hill from Kopu first instead of round the coast through thames, the intersection on 25/25A turn off to Whangamata would be a good place to meet, then carry on round the loop.

My 2 cents, if i go be good to meet ya's

Yep, I'm keen. Haven't done nearly enough (hardly any) open road riding lately and I haven't done the loop yet, just been to whangamata and waihi.

I'd been thinking the same- have lunch at Whitianga. May be going to the 3 kings fishing ( will find out today ) otherwise I am definitely on for sunday. I will go via clevedon- hunua - miranda ( twisty roads ) & meet you guys at kopu service station. Just let me know when you expect to be there.

hey Johno, your call, but its normally better the other way, coast road can be very slippery till later in the day, we normally do it the other way. What ever you do, have a good ride.

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.
