    Ok then.
Highlight of my day: Passing a 636 and a R1 in a straight line. On loose gravel.
We're all fucked. I'm fucked. You're fucked. The whole department is fucked. It's the biggest cock-up ever. We're all completely fucked.

Hope it wasn't any of the people from your ride at the north end of Paeroa I rode down from Coro about 2pm and when I got to Paeroa there was an R1 and what looked like a GSX R750 having their details taken by Plod. When my wife came through about 20minutes later, they were still at the roadside. Also saw what looked like a CBR 600 in Paeroa fully decked out in Repsol colours - beautiful job

Well I was behind (MikeL I think)...... but we were doing the same speed. With me riding using 75% of my ability and he half asleep
Nah, it only looked that way because I don't hang off the bike like most KBers...
But that was a fun run into Whitianga.

    Cool

Ok I have had some sleep after yesterdays ride... I was so knackered afterwards.

Yep, there I was, at the back of the pack... coming up the rear... as usual lol.
Well I am the queen of slow.

EXCEPT when coming throu into Whitianga.... out of the 21 riders all up... I came in 12th WOHOOOOOO I left all the big boys behind....hehehe.

Awesome ride.... awesome group of riders. Nice cafe for lunch.

I hope Gazzer got his bike home ok and its not gonna be too much cost to get it all sorted out. He had stopped again just before the Miranda turnoff.
So I stopped as I was puttering along on my own. I managed to flag down a few of our other riders to also help out if necessary... Ray followed him along the Miranda straight.

I then headed off to head back up to SH1.... stopped at a garage to put on another top..as it was getting flaming nippy by that time... traffic was ok... but much better once I hit the motorway. I didnt hit the V8 traffic which was good.

Zapf, excellent ride.... and a wonderful turnout.
    Well done mate.

Not thinking of that moment. I used lane zero for that, which amused me as I passed a couple of F650's which would have been far more suited to lane zero than me.

Admittedly if I had a $15000-$20000 bike covered in plastic I'd be slightly more concerned about stone chips from loose metal..

umm, led the second pack anyway admittedly the 600's did leave coro quite a while later so you certainly had the wood on us getting into whitianga. shame about that loose chip there

Great ride really, no bins despite cameras being brought out! I didn't obliterate by rear tyre either (new technique for me on the road; gas it through the corner but back it off when it opens out to avoid chewing the rear out)

like a few others, i was well knackered last night with sore legs (my riding style seems to resemble someone doing squats!) but a very content feeling at having had some good clean fun and no scares.

Lol, so who led the first pack and how many bikes were in it?

CK, with you selling your wheels I would have thought you would have been laying off the KB rides until your new Motard arrives?

Good to hear you all had an enjoyable, *safe* blast around the Loop! I must ride it some day?

oh, and maximum respect to the dude on the GSX250! Could hardly believe how much I had to hustle to get past him heading towards coro. brilliant effort that man on a relatively gutless bike! great lesson for anyone who's on a 250 that thinks they need a bigger bike to get ahead of most.

What part of Pak Highway was the swine on Zapf? I've seen that red commodore a few times (got a good long look at him one evening!) out our way but if he's found a good hiding holey on the highway, i'll make a mental note to be on my guard! ... Actually, if I know which drive its in, I'll make a point of trying to get IN the drive so he has to leave

have to let these confused gravel wannabes have their moment eh...
Tha Jandal: Adding another dimension to "rubber side down"

Jandal [jan-duhl] noun: a mythical entity presiding over bikers
Jandal [jan-duhl] verb: "to jandal" is to involuntarily separate from one's boik.
Jandalled [jan-duhlled] past tense - usage: "bro, I've just gone and jandalled it"

roo and mono let me go first cause they hadn't been round before (hows that for diplomatic?)

it has been a while that i've been on a decent ride (mainly for fear of needing new tyres) but with a possible change in job location looming, we may hang onto the gixxer for a bit longer instead of having to sell this and then sell a motard if we move.

the loop is definitely worth doing. thats what happens when ya spend too much time on SH22, you forget that there's other roads out there! my SA friends on the R1 and Busa where staggered that they'd been in the country for nearly two years and hadn't known it go around!
