Guess it was you guys I passed on the Whangapoua hill at around 1:00? I went the other way, Tauranga - Waihi - Whangamata - Tairua, Cooks beach - Whitianga - Matarangi - Coromandel - Thames - Paeroa - Te Aroha and home along the bottom of the Kaimai.
Saw 2 cops in north end of Thames (50K zone, so no worries), no others anywhere.
Had a nice, HOT coffee (I hate luke-warm coffee!!) at the Chilleze cafe in Whangamata. This is at the southern end of the town, opposite Super Liquor. Recommended.
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.

    Lightbulb Great Ride!!

Thanks guys for the AWESOME ride on Sunday. The only bad thing about sunday was that I realized I have been in New Zealand for 20 months and I have never riden the "Loop". Realy great riding, awesome scenery and even better company!! Thanks again.

I don't think there's any 'special balancing' on what mono got cause I decided to tape the offending flap to my boot at coromandel.. as funny as it may look from behind, its damnably annoying!

oh yeah, the other highlight was finding an excellent coffee shop in Coromandel town.. Umu cafe for those that weren't there- put it on your list!

good atomic coffee served and made the way it should be (ok, yes, I'm a JAFA, I admit - but I don't do that frothy decafe caramel latte rubbish type stuff!)
