Smile I just bought a house

Well, I've just gone and bought a house - move in 2 weeks.

Now I have a big mortgage, and won't be able to ride as much - boo hoo!!! But its mine, and sure beats paying for someone else's mortgage.

    yeehaaa - exciting stuff

    Many congrats to you.

It is certainly a good time to buy.

Hope all goes well with the completion and the Christening of each and every room

That's what I've been doing for the past 18 months. But my rather large mortgage, is equivallent to the rent I've been paying - only need to find the funds for rates and insurance now......

...and the funds for repairs and maintenance of the house as well...and you'll hafta keep your grounds tidy...house ownership is not necessarily a bed of roses (says he as he wonders how to redo the bathroom and fixed the broken bits of siding...)

On the good side, you can kick holes in your walls if you want and not have some landlord whinge about it and you won't have a landlord trying to evict you and you can have pussycats and you can spill wine on the carpets and dismantle the bike in the lounge etc etc.

Hope all goes well with it crazyhorse. When's the housewarming?

Pay the rates and insurance by monthly payment... seems a lot easier!
    Congrats on your purchase!

I pay my insurance monthly - should get the rates sorted as well actually...always a bugger to have to pony up $350 out of the blue...specially since I just spent that much on toys for the bike buggritbuggritbuggrit

House is only 5 years old, so shouldn't need maintenance just yet....well, I hope, anyway
