What is it with men and tips?

I was at work the other day, actually thinking about it ever since I have been operating large machinery (which is over 5 years) I find that some guys can't help themselves just because I am a female operating a 22 tonne Caterpillar, they seem quick to offer advice.

I have also experienced this when out riding my bike! And keep in mind I have never asked for these tips, it just happens???

Has this happened to you and if not are one of those annoying advice givers?

Men just like to be helpful. Don't think of it as condescension, just be grateful you work with compassionate collegues.

... maybe they are just trying to be polite, a hard quality to find these days... remember when it was the right thing to open a door for a girl fella's? yeah ya do aye, do it these days and ya get a "what do I look usless" look...

Gstring, you girls bring it upon ya selves, chill out not every bloke wants to get in ya pants or, feels inadequte beside you, its your issue not the guy offering help.

Generally if a person needs information on mechanical issues they find a man. Conversely discussions around rolling your own tampons and pain management while suffering a Brazilian fall under a woman's domain.

Both sex's have their knowledge strengths, and 22 tonne Caterpillars are almost entirely a mans domain, additionally they may want to bang you and showing their collective knowledge at work maybe a cunning plan to dazzle you with their brilliance.
