I have given up on the name brand blades and now have the no frills home brand one from woolies.
Blades are like 1/3rd of the price and last just as long.
First couple of shaves maybe not as good as a mach 3 but after that no difference imo.

Yeh but for me the titanium blades last 4weeks each and cheep ones about 4 shaves.
Its the rusting that kills the blades quick which the titanium doesnt do so at $16 for 4 thats 4months for me which isnt bad value.

If you rince them with very hot water and shake them dry they last 4 times as long.

Those vibrating razors they have been advertising terrify me! How on earth would a vibrating razor do anything other than leave you with a scarred and corrugated face?!

I've been using them on my balls. Vibrate, shave, rub in natural lubricates .......

Wash with soap, then lather up with Gillette Gel foam, then Mach3 razor followed by Nivea balm or moisturiser as I sometimes get razor rash. Tried electic razors, didn't like them.

Incidentally, does anyone use King of Shaves shaving oil instead of foam or gel? I once got sent a free sample and it was bloody fantastic but I've never seen it in the supermarkets.

Yep, it works real good, works even better first on and foam on top (budget will do as the expensive oil does the trick).

pussys. I give my face a trim with the lawnmower, finish with the benchgrinder. and use the weedeater for that hard-to-reach bit under my nose. lastly burn to perfection with the gas cutter. then use the fluids from an overflowing sewerage manhole to moisurize

The multi blades are about flattening the skin so it does not ripple up between blades. The garbage that the twin blade was designed to do.
The most crucial part of the blade is the position of angle, so precise to the inth is where the money is.

I'm about to be manly like you guys and try shaving (primarily under my chin, near the wind pipe) with some soap and a sharp knife. Wish me luck!

In my ambulance days I went to a couple of different guys who tried cutting their fingernails with the lawnmower but never a face. Glad is working out for you... :-)

YES! But don't worry - they've thought of this too. You can buy even more expensive blades that have an extra single blade in the top edge for that very area.

That's rude, charging extra for getting to shave your whole face?
