Showers are fine. It's the Meteor Storms that you have to watch out for.

Get a Demon on the front to, they rock! So how did ya go? Riding in the rain is all common sense and getting wet.

Waterproofs. As a person who rode *a lot* in wet conditions I can tell that hypothermia is a bitch.

Because people are stupid, they will believe a lie because they want to believe it's true, or because they are afraid it might be true. People's heads are full of knowledge, facts, and beliefs, and most of it is false, yet they think it all true ... they can only rarely tell the difference between a lie and the truth, and yet they are confident they can, and so all are easier to fool." -- Wizard's First Rule

Hypothermia is more than a bitch, had mild case years ago,was tramping with 2 other guys, started off on bikes then walked when road ended, and track was only pole marked if any.Spent 9 hours in back country till we hit the hut.We all realised we'd been bloody lucky,as were wet and wind had got up.No way I'd like to be on road in that condition.

You be fucking careful on that shinko in the rain. We have had way too many bad experiences on them. If you want to hammer around in the wet then get rid of them. Soon you will see why.

Next time you may not be so lucky with the weather...best you get yourself a mentor and practice, because sooner or later you are going to need to learn how to ride in the wet.
