    ZXR A/C

i've herd that there is more difference between the a and the c models than just the front look.

If I recall rightly, the "A" is slightly faster, physically bigger, and the "c" has a different swingarm.
Other than that, they are the same.

Yes, the A is a little different. The "A" also has twin headlights and is slightly heavier. The "C" weights 141kg dry and the "A" from memory is up around the 150's (someone may know the actual weight).

ZXR 250C is 141Kg dry, little more power too and adjustable fronts and rear. Different headlight covers and different wheels (3 spokes that split into 6 instead of A's (5)? spokes)... apart from that there is not much else. I heard the A was slower than C because of power/weight and suspension.

ya i saw on some website that they recon its 170, but on www.motorbikes.be they recon its 141 dry.
In that zxr250c manual that on the net it says that the C is 141kgs with 45PS @ 16000 (http://www.speaks.geek.nz/weblog/doc...250manual.html)

well im pretty sure its the same engine at the end of the day, just a lil tuning or lightweight parts in it...

as for the swingarms, they vary, i've seen atleast 3 dif ones on A models, and 2 dif ones on C models, possibly ppl swapping them between models tho.

The wheels thing is right, the A model only came with the 5 spoke wheel (similar to the VFR's of same era) but i think the C model has 2 diff ones, the very ugly 3 into 6 one and also a solid 3 spoke (kinda sexy)

Other than that the frames are a lil dif.

170kg!!! no way. My GF250 is something like 160 and the ZXR feels way lighter than that.

But from memory my A model has 45PS at 16,000 as well so the speed/performance would lie in power-weight ratio and the handling due to adjustable suspension.

Other differences include a bleed/overflow on the bottom of the forks on the C model in case of hard hits on front suspension (to stop you from fucking them up i think)

    thats my 2c anyway
