From another thread "a girl can dream can't she". I'm figuring female.

In the reply to the op ... maybe you're just bored with them/the relationship. Spend a week away or something, then see how you feel.

A pertinent question would also seem to be "where are you taking you Mum on a date"?

I'm purposely staying away from this thread now. I did open myself wide open. Won't do that again.

But to answer some questions... yes, I'm female. Mom is not hot, just like a best friend.

And if I were to spend a week away from partner, I may never want to come back...

Ahh yes, but Sheba wants a KLE. Her Mum doesn't. I like KLEs...

Yours sound a bit older than mine. I'm figuring I've got at least 3 years before I really need to start dealing with that. :-)

Those boots were made for walking and that's what you better do!

You have already decided, turn it into action, pronto, if you know what's best for both of you, do it now!

Ahh, the wisdom you can get from KB. Thanks guys. Maybe I'll just find distractions and make getting my biking license the new love of my life.

Maybe some of you out there that love your life can share about it and brighten up this thread.

Or tell me what you know about base jumping. It's been suggested I take that up.

Best done with a parachute. Even more dangerous than motorcycling ... easier than relationships though.

Back to your original question ... if you live with your partner but not your mum it may be acceptable to look forward to a date with mum more than the partner depending on how often you see mum. Ask yourself this: if you were away in Africa for a month, which one would you rather have pick you up from the airport when you get home?
Grow older but never grow up
