Post Classic Snr/Pro Twins

For those who raced this class last weekend...what did you all think...

Did it work for you all....is it something that you would like to see remain or go back to original classes....

Watching this class .....there was some awesome racing and dicing going on with the mixed class.....

Personally I miss them and it made PC Junior a complete yawnfest. I reckon the F3 guys miss them to. I don't think it benefitted the PC Senior racers either.

On the plus side, it would now be possible for Pro-twins guys to cross enter into F3.

I must admit I had a blast but no more than with the juniors.I think we held the protwins up in the infield a little though.
Would be good option when to many posties but would rather the increased lap times and one less starting class.

its an interesting concept - i think us little 400's would out strip the gsx11' s in the turns also.

I also think it would be a bit off for pro twin's to enter in F3 - they have their own class because they did not want to ride in F3.

HOWEVER it is hard to know when im in F3 when a Pro twin is up my arse that he is a pro twin.......

here is the interesting thing... pro twins can actually enter in F3 at the moment - they simply would not get another race they WOULD get points in f3 thou.

Yeh but your the only postie junior the front seniors dont gap Neil and we like you being around to keep us honest.There seems to be a half dozen protwins fighting each other for positions and trying hard not to ride into us at the same time.

I had a shit load of fun but did find it frustrating being baulked in the corners. It is a mixed bag advantage wise and can work for or against you - for instance in race 2, I think Dan and I may only have caught Ash because he got held up, which worked out great for me. But in race 1 it was I who got held up and Ash gapped it.

My preference would be to run with the F3 bikes.

Oh and good on you for asking for feedback Dee. It demonstrates a willingness to consult and find the best solution.

It was a good test and was fun but personally, I would not want to mix those classes again.

The bikes were too different in thier lines and corner speeds and I nearly took out a post classic by running into the back of him in race one, as it was I ran off the track and crashed but it could have been worse.

For race two it worked in my favour but then in race three I got stuck behind a couple of classics after a bad start and that pretty much meant the end of my race.

possibly not relivant but I found racing against the PC senior guys just scarey at Taupo a couple of years back--same as commented on above the lines are just so totally different compared to a F3 bike

my opinion is the same, held up in the infield and blown away down the straights. it was quite easy to pass in the tight stuff but difficult to keep the position down the straight, end result is it could certainly cost some positions in your own class as other riders have pointed out. personally I loved battling with such powerful bikes (it does teach you a lot about passing) but then I had nothing to lose points wise.

Deano managed to pass me about 40 times.I usually only see a couple of bikes per race plus lap stuff.I had so much fun but at the expence of pro twin lap times because being held up for us didnt happen because we never managed to get close enough in behind a twin in the corner entry or exit.
i think I only held Deano up when I got in behind Phil trying to pass an even more powerfull bike that had slightly slower corner speeds than my own.

While the racing was fun, I was always a little concerned that a pro-twin might run into me though the infield.
I was past several times at the hairpin only to past them again on the straights.
I know I was slowing them down, but my keeping them just behind me it prevented any other postie getting close.
Personally I wouldn't put these classes together again. I personally felt I was getting in the way. Sorry if it upset anyone.

Yes: Chappy I'm hearing ya about 400's...it's now my ringtone....LOL
