    But on a serious note the BSL was unfortunate to be a victim of new rules that required unleaded fuel. That, and a batch of dodgy Honda pistons, effectively gave it the bad name it now seems to have. Just out of interest I wonder how the Honda RS500 that Richard Scott rode at Wanganui etc would fare against modern 600's running on NZ fuel etc?

    Ah.. yes... the other bikes seemed to go ok on unleaded. It was just slow and shite. Laughable when it had to be upgraded to a Modernas. Sorta like going from a Trabant to a Lada....
