Have to take my hat off too you, it breaks my heart to say this but i think these TERRIBLE SOUNDING YES TERRIBLE triples are going to be the thing to take on the Sv'R's.

Like a mutated VW beetle... thats what they sound like.

first time out and you walked me like a dog - ill get the fottage i have of race 1. its really shows off that top end. my 80 hp ZXR had nothin on you down the straights. I was amussed ( and impressed )when you tried to out break me into turn one.... thats my trick.....ask Geoff booth...... but i was happy the 20 year old front end on my bike held up - i borked the exit thou!!!

look forward to seeing you out there again - let me know when your off to taupo.... less straights there mate

Also cheers for walking down and introducing ya self - top bloke u is.

    Hey Kirk
You must be stoked with the weekend eh.
We are going to be keeping a very big eye on you as the 450 route is one of the ideas the team discussed on sat eve.
So dont be surprised to see me hanging around and asking lots of Q,s over the next few months (shame you not at KOR Rd 1/2 mate)
Spoke to Chris O at the weekend too..what a top bloke
    Congratulations mate

Thanks man, yes very happy for the weekend. However there is still a long way to go till I am truely competitive at a nationals level. Still a good 3 seconds off the pace at Manfeild.

Yep for sure come and say hi whenever. Next race meet for me is Bert Munro, then KOR rd3 and then the SMCC summer series in mid Dec before nationals!

Great shakedown on the new bike Kirk!, the triple option is a really viable and seriously competitve choice aye + its neat to have another " different sounding" bike out there.
In F3 we have one of the best sounding fields now - Screaming 4 cylinders, stomping twins, thumping singles, ding-diddly-ding-ding two strokes, waarping V4's and now gruff triples.
    Bloody good !

Ahhhhhhhh. If only that You Tube clip would go for a couple more seconds - you would have been able to hear what the bike actually sounded like!

Looking forward to seeing it on the track at Round 3 then.........

Been a while since I read the race reports and sorry I missed this one earlier.
Great write up Kirk. Look forward to following your progress on the 450 triple.
"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "
