Bored with the usual dull beers? Try Excalibur

Maybe it's the years catching up but I must confess I find drinking beer..well, bloody boring these days.

So I've been sampling the odd and weird imported brands gathering dust on the local supermarket shelves.

Having lived in London way back and spent many a night pissed as, stumbling home on the tube, thanks to great beers with that incredient sadly missing in NZ...taste! I have a soft spot for British ales.

So my latest fav is Excalibur from Suffolk at 8.5% alcohol content it has a decent kick. Some UK/European brands on the shelf are up to 10% but failed the taste test.

Anyway I'm happily drinking one now which is why I have no idea why I'm posting this and how to end this &%$îng sentence.

Thanks Jim I'll keep an eye out and try them. Basically I'm just working my way through whatever 'different' offshore brands I spot for a bit of variety. and as I said...taste = a drink you actually enjoy swallowing.

Beers are for adding to pizza dough, if you don't have any yeast

    Crest.

Pirateis 8 or 8.5 like excalibur.

Gordons gold is another tenner and they do platinum at 12%.

I love the crest very much. One is great for "A few beers" 2 gets you pissed and three gets you rooted; easy maths, easy to carry on the bike and tastes OK.

Excalibur tastes like coffee grounds and rotten lemons. I couldn't finish one can, so I gave it to Blanket Man, and even he didn't look too impressed.

Try Chimay, or if you really like the storng ones, Elephant FTW!
