    gsxr 250 rr carb

I'm putting my gsxr 250 rr together after being apart for some time. Just trying to remember how the hoses attach to the carby. Obviously its a quad carb unlike the standard gsxr 250's twin. The fuel intake and vacuum pump hose is an easy guess. But it also has two small nipples near the fuel rail and two large nipples near the diaphragms and I'll be F'd if I know where to run hoses on these. Do they link with a junction to balance the carbs or run to something else. I think the small ones may be fuel return.

Can anyone shed some light on this.

    Cheers,
    Luke

From memory, the small ones are just breather tubes and run back over the top of the airbox and then just hook in, they're not attached.

I can't remember what the big ones are for but have a look here for photos with tubes attached.

Thanks for the photo - but it just teases me because I cant see where the hoses actually go! Any chance you could have a look under your tank and see where go.

    Cheers,

Ok thanks anyway. I've just looped a hose between the two big flanges. I've got the bike running now but it seems to be running very lean. It is hard to start and wont rev over about 8 to 10 grand. If I choke the carbys with my arm so only about a quarter of the air can get through it revs ok but is of course severly restricted. The needle jets looked clean and I tried taking out the jet needles and running it - and not supprisingly it was so rich it wouldn't start and had big flames comming out the pipe - so I guess the jets are ok. I don't know much about cv carbs but I guess the next step it to set the jet needles as rich as possible. I don't know how to check the other jets or what other adjustments can be made. I did pull the carbs apart and give them a good clean with carby cleaner. Thats about all I can think of. Anyone else got some ideas.

    Cheers
