Hiya. I want to do this to my FXD. I maybe a bit thick, but I can't follow your instructions? Do you have any pics? Can you use the original license plate or do you need to get a smaller one made up?

If ya cant adapt ya oem bracket,go buy a sidemount of ebay or make one. And as for the riders of jappaz that dont understand wot the thread was about,of course not,it said sportster or dyna. I printed the post as it came of another site and after reading it knew exactly how it would work. Do you let the stealership take all ya money instead of fitting or repairing shit yourself

Hey Rosie. to be honest, its better to buy one tailor made because due to vibration it broke.(too thin). or get a bracket made. I put the plate back up on the fender with a lay down holder. Go to a sign maker and get a smaller plate made and the whole package looks a damn sight better

Have adapted the mount but yeah I'm thinking the vibration will probably break it too. Anyway, local chopper shop is making me up a smaller licenseplate so will go ahead and try it. I want to bob my rear guard so trying to get the plate off it. But otherwise laydown could be the go.

Here's a pic of the finished product. Have rubber mounted it and seems to be holding together.
