Hey Dave have a good ride. Oh and since my bike is still out of commission, would it be possible for us to catch up some time over some accompanied by a fellow nepalese lad??

    Report on the day

another great day, we meet at Caltex Bombay,, Zed, Sifarms,Swanman,RIB,Speedmedic,oh yeah and F/F, surprisingly MR was late, mind you at speed he rides he would catch us up.

So away we went, From Bombay Caltex we headed to the top of the bombay hill, down ridge rd past tuakau and onto 22, bit foggy, but good, cleared up later down the road, and a good pace was maintained till Ngaruawahia, stopped for gas, meet up with Mike L, talked guys stuff (as you do), then a young man from Nepal arrived on his bros XR600,, From there we rode back riverview rd to Huntly, and a good fast blast to rotowaro (somewhere along here we lost Mike L ,sorry Mike) and ruawaro via hetherington rd and back to 22...The young man from nepal and the elderly F/F disappeared into the distance.. re grouping at Glen murray Rangariri rd, we headed back, just before Pukekawa, Glen and I stopped and discussed the merits of doing the whole trip again.

So we did.., thanks Glen, a great pace down and a nice relaxed ride back.

    Highlights for the day.

Catching up with Zed again, great to ride with you Matthew, love your bike, and have missed your co on rides.

Meeting Stifarms, nice bike, you handle it well.

RIB, well done Doug, you must have got up early to meet us on time .

As always a ride with my buddy MR is fun, (albiet till he dissapears in the distance)

The Big highlight for me was to see Glen(Robomedic) back on his bike and(license intact)atm.

Okay, nearly finished, oh yeah Rider of the Day.....

Without a doubt Matthew aka Zed, on that big bike on 22 you rock..

Thanks all for a great safe ride.

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

Yep, f*cken 5:30am f8cken am I got up this morn worth in but Good ride thanks F/F Glad Old' Rox was keeping up (well most of the time, backpack and all ). Always good to see young MR out there making those corners look easy (even with an old 600 MX MC with shited noblies ). Good to see Zed back Hey Zed, what's the guts. Black Blackbird, Black helmet & Black riding gear:eyepoke: You'll get KB'ers confused (special now that I don't have a Black Bike or a Black Helmet )

Took a wrong turn somewhere near Huntly (geography was never my strong subject...), eventually got onto the road to Glen Murray but by that stage there was no hope of catching up to you guys...
Great ride anyway (apart from the fog)

Awww shucks Dave, I feel honoured to receive the Firefight Rider of the Day! Like I was telling you guys, it may be heavy (223kgs dry) but once those wheels start rolling it feels light and handles well. I was trying to be extra careful not to lean it over too much around those 22 twisties just in case I scraped my pipes or centre stand, still getting to know it's capabilities/limits after riding it for a mere 4 weeks.

Anyway, I had a great time and felt the group rode safely and at a good pace. Dave, thanks for the good organisation once again and looking forward to the next one. Btw, your pace has increased since last year mate and your cornering style looks impressive from behind!

Good to catch up with Glen, RIB, Dave, MR, and MikeL again since last year! Good to meet you for the first time Mr stifarms, you rode very well on that VTR1000 considering how long you've been riding motorcycles. Some natural talent there huh?

Quote of the ride: "What fog?" by Swanman I think?

Hope you guys all got home safely. Don't party too hard at Swanmans 2nite or else the prison guards will ask you to leave! (private joke)

There can be only one RiderInBlack! Besides, I'm getting a new graphics helmet soon.

I was impressed with your riding today Doug, especially with all that gear you had on board and through the fog you just disappeared into the distance!

Highlight of my ride was cruising back home to Albany and popping a 1st gear wheelie at the lights and nearly losing it over the back. I must have looked like a right pillock. Feet off the pegs, all crossed up with the bike pointing straight up. Jeez you never stop learning.

So what happened to you & RIB at Tuakau? After leaving the service station me and MR waited for you at the bottom of Ridge Rd (the one that leads up the the motorway near Bombay) but you never turned up!

Swanman turn left coming back from the Service Stat and starting going back the way we had came of course I followed thinking he knew the way We stoped, turned back and I lead him down a road signed to Pokeno. Knew that once I got to Pokeno that it would be a piece of cake getting back on the SH1 from there On SH1 just passing the Junction with SH2 (to Coro, Paeroa etc) about 10 Filfy Few roared on to the highway. Decided to give them a wide berth so did the loan cop on the side of the road Not the kind of riders the I would want to chase down the road.
PS: attached some pic of the ride
