    That's all bollocks.

Docs have been telling me for yonks that my scaphoids won't heal unless I stop riding for a while. You get used to the pain when braking and using the clutch after a while... and what's a bit of arthritis between friends...

One silly doctor put my leg in a cast from ankle to hip when I snapped my medial collateral ligament. That didn't stop me - I just had to ride everywhere in second.

Just take it easy putting the helmet on for a while mate.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Is it just me or is the obvious solution... an open face helmet?

I haven't ever found it all that hard not to ride for a while if it was a choice between not riding for a month or having my injuries cause me problems for months, years or the rest of my life

About the only operation that I'd recommend not to ride too soon after, is a vasectomy!

They meant you can't ride for a month, straight. So take a day off or two in between!

    It's a blessing.

Get on the Internet and start ordering goodies for it. You have until months end to get them fitted, then enjoy the warmer, drier weather.

If i put my flip-up helmet on (or take it off) with the face up, there's no point in time where my nose gets squished

Ride or get ridden? Ouch, I can't imagine anyone would want to do anything soon after a vasectomy!!!!

I was told similar,no driving for 4-6 weeks(spent a week in hospital so asked did that count, which it did),said cool can I ride my bike, that's not driving. She looked at me,and said NO bloody way, then seriously said don't drive for a month as if you crash you could be declined insurance due to being given instructions not to drive, both written and verbal. Was bloody hard.
