Yes, well you're signature confirms some of my non sensible posting, well actually I didn't expect you to signature it because I got another two people putting my posts as their signature. This thread itself has gone way off the original topic.
About once a year, members will start to whinge about how the site is run.
Mods usually say tough, and a lot of good members get fed up, and leave KB to live happy real lives with the friends they met on KB.
Occasionally the mods listen, as evivenced in the Tauranga thread in babyb's link. Quasi was the mod at the time, and amongst others, Cajun (currently a senior mod) stuck up for leaving the thread as it was.
Mods will do what they want. Contributing members will either like it or lump it. The old guard will give way to the new, and life will go on.
September next year the new guard will start complaining about how KB has changed, and it used to be so much better back in the old days.
KB is a website. The website is not what has changed (other than when the mods move shit (damned mods)), other than a few threads, it's still all there in it's original glory. What has changed is the way you look at the website.
