$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details
Yes I did but rejected this for the following reasons.
The Green Party says the Government's decision to review its policy of not disclosing the location of SAS troops is a victory for common sense.
A fortnight ago Norwegian defence chief Sverre Diesen told a newspaper that New Zealand's SAS troops would be taking over from Norwegian special forces in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul.
The New Zealand Government has a policy of not disclosing where SAS troops are serving.
In the light of the Norwegian disclosure, Prime Minister John Key has agreed to review the policy with defence personnel.
Green MP Keith Locke says that changing the policy would bring New Zealand into line with other countries like Norway and Australia, and that only operational matters, such as the details of military operations, should be kept secret.
Mr Key says his government simply adopted that policy, but he admits it is ridiculous if other countries are prepared to reveal the location of New Zealand troops.
New Zealand recently sent 71 members of the SAS to Afghanistan. It is the SAS's fourth deployment there.
It's the para in bold that suggest's to me there is no deception.
If you are going to give the enemy false information that information is to be as breif as possible. In short the more you give and the more complicated your delivery process is the greater the chance that you will make a mistake and enemy will perceive this.
Misinformation is only telling lies and the more lies you tell not to mention the more of those that tell the same lie the chances that a mistake will occur.
But I will say ..............you may well be right. I have no way of knowing one way or the other as indeed you yourself have no way of knowing either.
Key may be on top of the popularity stakes still, but let's not forget he's a newbee at this sort of game and he appears to be the man who likes the limelight of being PM. And another thing confirmation was not necessary from Key. In fact it would have been better if he had said nothing.
Skyryder
Free Scott Watson.
Is it just me or does that sentence have a word or two missing?
Key should know when to shut up. If the boffins in another country say too much it really doesn't mean the gaffe should be compounded. Some things need to be kept secret to protect those involved, especailly on the front line.
Hmmm, yea, I kind of agree there.
It's not so much what he said, it is the fact that he said ANYTHING that is the problem.
As small as NZ is, as small as our military is, we have to conduct out military operations with some level of secrecy.......
They are putting their lives on the line you know, one Kiwi did get awarded the victoria cross in 2007!
Just count down the days until we get our own home grown extremist blowing something up...
I gave up counting down some years ago...

Kiwi boy tried that at the then "Super duper coppa computer" in W(h)anganui.
Dumb arse blew himself up
SAS is secret, and Key may have slipped up, but nothing compared with that troll Clarke did over several years of nanny state misery, and bad photo's we had to endure.
I'm sure the SAS bosses will mention it to him if need be.
lol.
as if the opposing side didn't already know where our fellow kiwi's are anyway, way before the nork's and key said anything.
btw its only 71 odd peeps involved,it's not like we have many thousands of men there,,i reckon we are a next to nout target.
forsale A100,awesome power.
near ready for bucket raceing,or just a padock, beach hack.

Firstly, anyone over there against the Taliban is a target. The fact that NZ is a big vagina with no security means any wanabe terrorist would find it appealing to fuck. Secondly, they don't walk around with name tags while in NZDF uniform, why would anyone know who they are besides themselves and those that need to? For all anyone else knows, they're just another western force there kicking ass... Or training these kind of people: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kc8w0IX4UQc
