Welcome to KB. What sort of bikes interest you? I recommend a naked bike 'cos they are a bit more forgiving if you drop it (plastic fairings are expensive to replace). There are lots of good 250 choices. Anything from the big 4 manufacturers would be fine (Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha).

Modern Suzuki GN250s are of lower build quality and rust up quickly. IF you are doing a bit of open road, I recommend you go for a Vtwin 250 or poss. the Yamaha Scorpio 225 which has a good rap and a bit of poke too.

A great time to get a bike as well, since we are starting to head into the summer period.

    Hi Stu from Tauranga.

What a very exciting time for you. Good luck with your choice of road bike. And as others have said, the perfect time to get into road riding!! BRING ON SUMMER!!!

Alot of us meet up at Drivers Bar on Thursday nite around 7:30pm ish you are welcome to come down and meet us all, we won't bite, well some of us don't.

We are not a vociferous clique, we don't have fragile egos, we are not misogynistic wankers, none of us are dickheads, and we don't disappear up our bottoms!

The Tauranga crew are an awesome bunch of people, that love to ride and are extremely knowledgable, helpful, and giving.
