Awesome days racing!! The free use of transponders was unexpected too!
Check out the new look mylaps too, apparently the times were being updated live! All results on there. And they gave buckets a full track race to test and time just how long we took. Nice one Bears!!

And what track did you race on?

I can see why Hoogie wins, his Bucket can average 280kmh, he should really be in F1

I think they may not have shortened the track length in the computer for tri oval...

I only managed one full lap of the full track. For some reason, big ass white tyres had been placed on the outside of the track coming out of the hairpin. I usually use that bit of tarmac and just clip the rumble strip coming back on line. Seems I got a bit close and managed to hit one of the tyres with the tip of my rear brake lever. Though I had broken the lever off, but had bent it right around, so the pedal pad ended up underneath the footpeg! Muzza, who was behind me came round to find the tyre rolling onto the track. Dunno how I managed to not hit my foot on it, mustve been close. I pulled in to see what had happened, shocked to see the pedal bent like it was. Oh well, managed to get it straight enough, next race Greymouth, woohoo!

That was a good day, the bucket was back in order, and went ok. It aint the fastest. but had a good time all the same.
I wonder how the time trial thing for the last bucket race turned out, and what they will decide for future meets?

yeah... it was a minter of a day aye, my bucket went well 'a' track aint that bad but christ ya thinking hard out all the time... quite enjoyed the full track race aswell, wonder what BEARs have to say reguarding the times we did... and yes I had to ask twice if the transponders were free and what ya know they even logged the times in on mylaps.

hmmmm... bloody old shiter the RD was, thanks to Yowling for getting dirty mits for me, but as you all would have noticed Ardie was on strike, and I just looked at the calander and crap only one weekend till Greymouth. Might have to wag work Friday and head to Puna (anyone keen for a few laps? think its $50?)
I have found a LC sitting in a garage and the owner is in Nelson, so what parts he wont know goes missing wont hurt him.
    cheers DD

Hee hee, luckily it had nearly rolled all the way to the other side of the track when I saw it, couldn't work out why there wasn't anyone picking themselves up!! Had a fun day myself, actually enjoyed the tri-oval. On the full track race had some fun and games with Suzi-Q, She flew passed me heading to the end of the straight, and we then tussled our way around for the rest of the race. It was excellent. She won though Cheers Muzza

Yes it was quite good on the full track, actually it was excellent.

I have noticed that from the timing exercise at the end that the buckets are no slower than any of the other classes on the full track!
