    Moving house

    I'm curious!!
Since my separation/divorce 4yrs ago I've moved 9x. This last year alone it will be 4x as we are moving again on the 30th of this month. The majority of those moves have been due to circumstances, beyond our control. Two have been my own choosing cause I either didn't like the place or thought the grass was greener somewhere else. It's not a record I'm too pleased about & am fed up with everything that goes with the moving, packing, cleaning, unpacking etc etc. When we moved here I really thought this was it we are staying put & even unpacked a box that I haven't touched in 4yrs. (Big Mistake). Have to now find a big box to fit them all in again. The owner had promised she was keeping the house & that she wanted long term Tenants, but due to insurance/mortgage hikes she can't afford the extra & has put the house on the market. Where we are going the owner has had her house for at least 5yrs & wants to have long term tenants, so keep fingers crossed we'll be there at the end of next year.
Any way, I'm curious, can any one beat that record of moving. Say the last 5yrs, which for me will be 10 & then this last year, which will be 4x.

10 in 5 years.. 2 of those were only a week apart too.. with a new prem baby just out of intensive care.. got given notice while I was still in hospital with him.. got down to a week of having to be out & still had not been able to find anything to move into either.. was a very desperate situation!

This is all very sad all these moves. I haven't counted how many over my 40 odd years. My dad was a police man so we moved heaps when I was kid till I was 13yrs old, then stayed in one house till I was 16 or 17 when I started finding my own independance. The longest I've stayed in one place is about 8yrs. My parents have moved once since 1977 & that was only to 2 doors away from where they were.

It's done again. The move went Ok as moves go, but it is so stressful on all concerned, especially with relationships. Unfortunately, as well my Daughter "Z" was pretty sick too, with Sinusitis, which she's had almost 3wks now, so her mood wasn't exactly the best for the move, not that it ever is ("Parenting a Changling")
Let's hope this one is the last one for a while

I'm on the move again. My daughter "Z" has decided she doesn't like her school or Whangarei + some other issues & wants to move down to Auckland to live with her father. She moves on the 16th April. Because of this I can't afford to stay here, well not with $300 a week rent. Having a lodger wouldn't recoup what I'd lose from the Family assistance or Accom allowance, + I like to be able to do what I want when I want etc at home .
We have a found a converted barn for $170 a week, which is great. Other reason I have to do this is also because I've decided to do my RN training & as a student I'll get sweet FA money. It'll be great for just two of us & we can have the animals. Country living, but not that far out either.
Our move will happen first weekend in May. I so hope it is the last one for a while

Since my last post on here, we have moved 3 more times. After the barn I went into a one bed flat. My daughter didn't last long in Auckland long, had to go get her late one night Last Sept (Long Story). Meant moving to a two bed place for her. Then in Aug this year my son decided he wanted to come home & save some money, so yeah we had to move again to a bigger house. Mind you we were getting fed up with the small two bed unit. It was also cold & damp. This place is massive compared to the unit. It's on the side of a north facing hill. Insulated warm. 10min walk to work for Doug & I + Daughter now has a job at hospital too. (Family Affair Now) Enough room to set up a decent veg garden & once my son has recovered from his op a BBQ as house warming.. Wonder how many more we have to do? Hope not for a while now. Landlord is keen to keep us as long as poss, Hence the awesome rent.
    Guess Who??
