It does really suck, I am sure she will be bummed. Unfortunately she was telling me that as she had just turned 17 she was the oldest there. Normally they only allow 13-16yr olds!

just because she didnt make the rookies cup dosnt mean she's not going to be an accomplised rider......, new zelanders are deffinitly the under-dogs compared to itlay, germany ect.....they get alot more resoures time and money spent on them.

If there is one thing you can say about young Avalon, she is a determined girl. Broke her leg, ground of a finger and STILL has the guts to go hard. Yes I am sure that this is only a minor setup to what will be a great career.

Thanks to everyone for their positive comments but hey Kyle you don't do Av any favours publishing these lap times do you? Where did they come from as there was nothing officially posted at the track. Yes she was well off the very fastest time set as far as we could make out with our own timing but don't focus on that there is a lot more to it. kb
