Back in the "old days" a few guys did the Six Hour solo. I think from memory Ginger Molloy won on his own one year - was he on an H2? Or was it a Z1? (most likely not an H2 - it'd have to refuel every three laps!!)

Then they changed the rules after a few years to make two riders mandatory, and the second rider had to ride for a minimum time ( 1½ hours?)

Ginger Molloy won the inaugural event in 74. Croz won the next two solo, then won it again in 77 teamed up with Tony Hatton under the new rules.
Then came Dave Hiscock & Neil Chivas..
Oh, yeah - Ginger rode a Z1, as did Croz in 75, then Z1000 in 76/77.
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.

Just heard an ad on the rock for the endurance race, so there should be a few more of the general public down there than usual. It will be good to get the extra exposure for M/C racing in general, hopefully people will enjoy it and head down to the AMCC meets/Nats etc...
