    NZ Police. Nice work!

A recent attempted burglary in the neighbourhood has brought the police out in the Banana Republic area.
I returned home to find a nice note (proforma, on company letterhead) saying that I had been visited by a constable who had vetted my security and assessed the risk of Schloss Swoop being burgled.
There was a list of items that were checked, including trees, alarms, overflowing letterbox, etc, etc.
    All signed by the copper.

Info on the local neighbourhood watch group is included at the bottom of the page.

I thought this was an unusually good bit of policing work for the local Bobbies.

School holiday time sees an increase in burglary action, for some unknown reason...

    Keep up the good work.

Credit to the Po-lice for this.

Some collegues were robbed on Friday and their neighbour got pics of the offenders and their car.

The Police raided the house where the car lives this week.

Indeed. I have suggested that said neighbour should receive a present.

Of course, the cynic in me wonders if the neighbour reported them driving away at 61km/h and hence the prompt police action.

You're not suggesting that evidence was required, surely?

I hate sideswipe in the herald with a passion but for some reason i read it this morning:

What gives?

At a guess.. can't get around to the burglary complaints because they are running after dozy kids doing dumb shit on pit bikes, likely to hurt themselves or others?

    Just a guess....
