    Sobering day

Its always a interesting experieince when your own world which seems challenging and diffulcult at times gets completely put into perspective buy a situation thats affects one of your close friends.

I just got back from visiting a dear friend of mine who had an unfortunate racing car crash at Teretonga recently, he was basically tapped by another car on a fast section of the track, he lost control and hit a tyre wall at 165kmph

His Injuries are extensive, shit I cant even remember them all, but two broken legs busted ribs stuffed hands (broken in desperation to get out of the car) as well as a range of other injuries..........it was 1 1/2 hours before the fire crew could get him out of the car and during the time it took for the engine and oil etc. to cool down he had to endure the pain of his left foot being basically cooked............He unfortunately had to have his foot amputated on Saturday as it was beyond saving, in his words "cooked right through"

Poor bastard...............His name is Derrin Greenslades from Tauranga for those of you that might know him..........yes the big man from Greenslades furniture.

Heal up Buddy and thanks for putting my world back into perspective with that big smiley face of yours...............legend
Ive run out of fucks to give

News like that can certainly blindside you on some random Monday.
Best wishes for the best possible recovery.

Feel for him Mate ! Hope he heals well !!
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
