The Mayor of Waitakere Bob Harvey has confirmed to the NZ Herald a body has been found near the Henderson property where two-year-old Aisling Symes went missing.

Earlier, neighbours reported a drainage crew inspecting a storm water line near the property with a camera.

A police camera crew has just entered the crimescene.

A senior crime officer was seen entering the area with a small box with nother policeman entered the area with an industrial flashlight.

Police and the fire service have been excavating at the back of the Henderson property with 3News reporting raw sewage spilling from the excavation site.

I'm sure he discussed his disclosure with the Police before doing so. There was a huge crowd outside and there was no secret the cops were onto something big, so why not let it be known.

What a fucking stupid thing to say. I'm pretty confident they weren't just all sitting around drinking coffee and eating muffins for the past week.

I'm not convinced. Bob Harvey is an incurable attention whore. My money is on him using his position to get close or get information and want to be the one to break the news to the salivating masses.

Now comes the sad part of identifying the body and figuring out how she could get into a sealed septic tank if she is in there. Or how she managed to go down a storm water drain (which aint difficult they are big).

The nz herald states the tip came in of her whereabouts after the 50k reward was offered.(Can someone verify).

Either way it dont mean squat, an innocent childs life is lost. It is a sad day.

Lets not forget the millions of children who die without a mention in the news.

Very very sorry. It's terrible, but at least they KNOW where she is and they can say goodbye to her with a funeral.

They can at least get on with their lives now without the torture of not knowing, and imagining where she could be is over.
