It's hard to work out if you're simply trolling, devoid of decency or of below average intelligence. Perhaps all three?

Of course, if you have never made a mistake, you're ideally positioned to pass judgement on those who have. If not, perhaps you could reconsider demonstrating your lack of human compassion with us in future?

heck yeh. mum used to look after twin girls. i think they were about 3 at the time. we were in town with them and they were walking without holding hands. one got turned around in all the legs and it was just lucky i was there to grab her. she wasnt even aware that she was going the wrong way. and this kid was a lot smarter than her age. so very easy for them to get muddled.

reports on tardme put aisling some 36 meters down the drain, so its no wonder the dogs and cameras didnt find her. drain is apparently 1.5m underground. RIP aisling. an angel taken far too soon.

And so begins the "great" kiwi knocking machine. FFS, if the searchers were so "F&^%^ useless" and you could do better why were you not out there looking in the drains?

My sincere condolances to the family.
They most certainly can. I had a 3 year old niece take off from our house one day, complete with shut gates on our property as the only exit to the road. My heart was in my mouth as I raced around the property then saw the gate ajar - she hadn't gotten very far down the street exploring but as davereid said "there but for the grace of god go I". My own kids had never done that and to realise just how speedily they can move was frightening.

Yeah, the police were hardly likely to be doing sweet jack all with all the media and local interest focussed on them. It is a tragedy which they too will be personally hurting from - that they didn't find her in time. And the very sad reality is that even if she'd been found a day or two after her disappearance she most likely would have been already drowned or died from exposure if the weather was that bad. The end result could well have been a tragically dead child regardless of how early she'd been found.

Glad you pointed that out Rob, he might even shut the fuck up now, given that J is a KBer also. So there ya go, 2 % of seperation in action.

I just hope for everybody concerned. - Her and Mum and dad and the police search team that she died quickly.
The alternatives given the recent weather variations weve had is really horrible to think about.
My heart goes out to all those involved.
Its "funny" how you react to news like that. Me I got up and went to give my youngest a cuddle.

Incidently alll you guys knocking the cops.-I saw the tears in that poor bastards eyes (the poor bugger who had to front the press last night).

    Very sad.

My 2 year old can push chairs to doors to reach the locks, run up the drive and get out onto the street in less time then it takes to have a piss, Its his nature to do shit like that, Only a fuckin retard would be trying to tell parents (or the cops) they are doing it all wrong in a situation like this.

A parent will have differing feelings to a non parent.Yes I know how quick kids move as 2 -3 yr olds, and easier said keep an eye out,be they inside or outside.Sometimes you aquire a sixth sense on what kids are up to,i.e to bloody quiet.

To say cops are thoughtless, and feelingless wasn't the case here, the inspector was relieved it was (search)over, and sad how it ended, and annoyed how long it took, wondering what more could've been done,my opinion not much.

Someone said the dogs would have been unable to track her anyway due to the large number of other people who were wandering around.

I - like the rest of us - don't know exactly what happened and how she got where she was found. Sad though it may be, I just hope she did get there by herself and wasn't 'helped'.

You are right about the cop leading the investigation though - he was just about in tears during the press conference this morning.
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Inappropriate. STFU. I am sure every parent at some stage has had a child go missing on them. There but by the grace of God most find theirs before anything happens to them. How can you say that about the family genes, you know sweet fuck all about them.

Very sad for the family, what a devastating thing to have happen. I was still up when the news announced it that night at about 10pm with that torrential rain and said a prayer for the family at the time. if I thought I could have been of use, i would have been out there searching too. Seems they had all the hands they could use though.
It is not fair to point the fingers at the cops, they did do the very best they could. Don't forget, most of them would have been parents too and would have been desperate to find her safe. The reality is that with that sort of water movement and the maze of storm water drains that sometimes despite every best human effort, it is not enough.
I can bet you that every searcher involved was putting in 110% to find her and that when she was found dead, there would have been many tears.

Prayers and thoughts go out to the family, can't begin to imagine how much they are hurting.
