Now as I dont own any rugrats I have to say I am impressed with the speed they move at when they decide there is something to explore.

I also know that KBers seem to think they know best about just about damn everything. Even if they dont.

    Sad day for her parents...........

As was said before, some things are better left unsaid, and this would b one of those things.
I'm entitled to express my emotional response to the news just like everyone else. Whilst the accpepted thing to do is express compassion and sympathy, I reserve the right to express another perfectly natural emotional response... anger. Ok? The reality here is that not one single word in this thread will be read by the parents, and doubtful anyone remotely related to the incident. So it's not of any consequence... except that we should all, especially those with kids or those who are responsible for kids, take it as a reminder of what can happen if you don't keep a damn good eye on those sneaky little buggers.

u'r entitled to expressing anger, yes. But i'm just thinking that you'r probably stepping on alot of parents toes atm. They would ofcoarse take this incident as a reminder to keep an eye out, no need to yell it out or start name calling.

I didn't yell it out, and the closest I came to name calling was "Stupid parents". WTF is this... church or the internet?

I'm guessing that you don't have kids. They can move pretty quick even when you are extremely careful.

People are emotional beings and they are going to look at the situation from an emotional perspective. Just like you are. Expressing you self centred, everybody look at me, look at what I can write, I know best emotion. If that's who you are - that's fine. But this isn't the place for it.

Given the sort of things the mods seem to jump on I'm surprised that this sort of posting isn't curtailed.

I'm so sad for her parents, they will blame themselves for ever, and so will an uninformed few, who have never suffered from a moments inattention.

Children can move at a blistering pace, and no one can be on top of their game, 24 hours a day for 15 years.

There but for the grace of god go I.

This brings closure, the family no longer have to worry about their little girl, and the community that has helped so massively can go ome to their own kids, without thinking that a child predator is 1-nil.

My sincere condolances to the family.
David must play fair with the other kids, even the idiots.

"Visibly upset, Davey said the property had been cordoned off and was now being treated as a crime scene but it was too soon to confirm the identity of the body."

That's from the most recent snippet I can find. While it appears likely it's her, the formal ID has not been made as far as I can see.

Although I'm a father I can't begin to comprehend what the parents are going through and if that body is that of their little girl the self blame will last a lifetime.

So, first the Po-po can't find a crazed gunman, who as it turns out was sitting on the bog the whole time and now this....

I'm so glad I pay my taxes.

same thing happened to me - only takes 2 seconds. It was a frantic 10 minute search and we found him but it was shear panic - too hard to explain. Until you have your own, then you understand. My heart goes out to Aisling's family.

That poor little lass, and her family. I can only imagine the anguish and heartache thay are going through. At least they have some closure, I guess.

This sort of situation is every parent's nightmare. Thankfully, very few have to suffer it. Devastating for those who do.
Distasteful that this site's Neanderthals, yet again, cannot control themselves.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?
