Fair enough', we'll see what happens. I'm sure Skunk and co will make the right decision and maybe nudge him towards a legal bucket.
I agree. I've had a look at my gear after the two hour and if I had been not wearing one part or removed some padding/protection from my leathers there would have been a good chance I'd been joining in the ride to the ambulance.
A couple of questions over the rules;
Could one take a non performance bike such as a GSX250, seal up two cylinder's valve guides and race it in buckets? Not that I'm planning on it, just wondering if you'd be allowed to.
And what is the minimum age to race in buckets? And how big is too big when it comes to the gear one wears? Apologies in advance if someone has already answered this but I can't remember ever finding this out. Amy is starting to think about having a go later next year if she is allowed.
Yes 4 strokes are for homos. Homo-sapiens that is, who have realized bigger is better.
All that is covered in the MNZ rules. See www.mnz.co.nz or there is a link to the rules under Resources on www.bucketracing.co.nz, but gear should fit well so it doesn't move when crashing. 13 is the minimum age. Yes a GSX250 is legal if the cylinders are non functioning.
I think it's more cylinder is non-functioning !!
Both and he ain't going anywhere...
oh,....4-cylinder GSX250.....

agree but pit bike's have been around since the 70's
they where used to go from the pits to the stands shops garage shed race track or anywhere the lazy bastards couldn't be bothered to walk
when people started racing them I dont know but it's not surprising (look who was riding them)
also we have pit carts now (ex golf carts) and I know they arn't race preped YET(just wait)
