Yeah. I'd say he has the psyche to fit in well at art school.

I say "not great, but good".

And who knows how much further he'd go?

So then I say "go for it". Life's too short not to follow a dream or two.

(I also say this as someone who's Daughter wants to "do art" at University... see Avatar...)

Spend the money on counselling instead.

EDIT: As to your question - he can draw/paint, better than me anyway. But he seems..... unhappy. Perhaps you should have that seen to.

Save your money. You'll need to spend it on counselling. Or lawyers.

Without sounding too pretentious - it's rather pedestrian.

    ohh a teddy bear

If it original then he got some talent, if he copied from somewhere he’s got a good eye.
It’s the idea he has managed to put on paper that’s the cool thing, we know what he is trying to show

    You pay for a course…… that’s a hard question
How about you buy him some descent white tee-shirts and some of that special paint that don’t wash out and get him to design something to sell.
That way if he has the drive to create you will see it here and he can make some money to… Bet his mates would buy one
This will show you if it’s a worthwhile cause

Better yet maybe get him to design the anti ACC tee-shirts that scracha thinking about

The execution seems nice, but the idea isn't an original one... maybe art school is just what he needs to explore his own directions?

What are dads for, if not to encourage their kids to follow their dreams?
