Highly recommend Boxing Central.
You wont find any matching lycra outfits there, and whether you want to train for fitness or to fight level, they've got the peeps there to help.
If you've never boxed before you might want 1 or 2 personal training sessions to get your technique basics, but there are plenty of members at all levels who will help.
Good Bunch
Sweet, thanks for the replies. I might try out the place in Mt Eden or City Boxing (as it's in the area). Is getting a bag for practice at home before joining a good idea?
Essential...........

Boxing Central is great - used to do box fit classes there and they just about killed me but they were fabulous!

Having a bag at home is good although i would probably hit a few classes first as throwing a bad punch at a bag can end in a nicely broken wrist!

Best thing you can do to prepare for boxing is to start skipping and/or running
