Smile Things you love about KB!

I figured with all the downer threads going on at the mo about all this ACC stuff, it'd be a nice change to write something a bit more positive.

Some of the things I love about KB -

The way it's just a big, gigantic, dysfunctional cauldron of squabbling, love, arguments, support, advice, windups and ridiculous humour. It's organized chaos at best, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

The way that whenever a biker gets caught on the news for doing something stupid (Motorcyclist caught doing 220kmph on SH1, Excuse was "I was just going for a coffee") there is the inevitable thread that pops up on here asking which one of us it was

The way that when you meet up with other bikers, the question is inevitably raised "Are you on KB? What's your username?"

At the last (and first) trackday I went to, sinfull was addressed over the PA system by the announcer under his KB name, which is, of course, sinfull.

I've been part of this silly little website for about 18 months now, and it has been brilliant. So thanks all!

    Cheers and Beers!

I love how I don't often feel the need to watch the news on tv or look at stuff because if something happened, no matter how insignificant, there'll be a thread on KB.

I love how there are so many different opinions from people on here, it's like having a whole nation at my fingertips. If I wanted to find out what the general public thought about say, their favourite colour undies to wear, I would start a poll on KB and probably get a general slice of the NZ public opinion.

I love how there are so many hypocrites around and the fact that when you type something here it generally stays here for quite some time. I like being able to point folks to a post they made 6 months ago in which they totally contradict what they are saying today (hahaha, that one's a real bitch!).

I love how many people I know because of KB (some I wish I didn't know) and some really awesome friends I've made from meeting people off here!

The humour lads and lasses - the humour. I get a daily laugh from this.

The advice which is forthcoming about any question - even the tongue in cheek replies...

Sifting the serious from the shit - not so hard really....90% is the latter anyway!

The all round good characters here - priceless.

I enjoy the bike/tech side of KB - I have learned a massive amount since I have been here.

Also I have met a few people who I love very much, and few more lately that I's be keen to catch up with more often.. Very grateful for that.

Mainly though, to be part of the fraternity - for what it is. I still struggle to formulate a picture of this. Perhaps it is too diverse to do so. Either way, it is welcoming and intimidating all in one mouthful..

It's nice and warm in here too.

"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

    Thumbs up

I love the encouragement I've been given personally over the years in regards my riding and questions about motorbike related stuff - from my 1st posting about riding allllll the way to Hamilton until now.

I enjoy that there's lots of really supportive people who can PT with the best of them and I really like the diversity of people here. The commonality is our passion for motorbikes!! I've met in person some awesome people and look forward over time to meeting more of ya!

There are people I have completely different views to me when it comes some of the social issues we discuss but that helps keep me honest and really think about why I believe what I do. We're a great slice of Kiwiana I reckon!

I love the dark humour, the crazy characters, information so freely given, the sense of family, the huge laughs, the words of wisdom, most of all - the way everyone is always there to support, help, encourage when one of us goes down in whatever way
