How did the ruapuna day go

I counted 40 bikes in B grade just before the spectacular demonstration of how NOT to exit the dipper was performed (about lunch time). Hopefully the chap that binned was ok, looked like he had a bit of a limp.

Looked like everyone was enjoying themselves judging by the grins on faces at the end of each session. Lots of old faces and many new.

Can't believe they didn't worry about zip together leathers this time! Thats the main reason I didn't ride!!! Well, that and a dead back tyre.
Very entertaining watching the Rocket III punting around.
Loved the K5 GSXR1000. Yummy! OK, the exhaust is a tad weird.

They shouldnt be worrying about zip together leathers if they are the racing type with the zip hidden under the jacket (aka technics or dianese 2 piece).

Its the old harly style dress leathers with the exposed zips that tended to pull apart if the zip got scuffed. Dont think you can get em anymore.

Yeah I had a blast. Managed to improve on my lap times from last october by just over 10 seconds to get a best of 1:50.9, so I am pretty happy with that. Just need to take off another 2 or so seconds and I will be in the top half of F3.

Was your Fireblade the one in the pit garage?

I was looking for one with the number on like your pic but didn't spot it anywhere

Ditto that. Went in there a couple of time while I was there but didn't see the owner. Interesting that the D208 on that bike was looking pretty roughed up- mine does the same, perhaps thats just what they do?
Was R1AaronKDX out there? Saw an R1 with good plastics and a very second hand tank, wondered if it was him but did'ne see him anywhere.

yeah that was mine in the pit garage, that D208 was TERRIBLE, like ridding on marbles when hard out of corners, all the rubber clumping up on edges after a few hard laps, keep getting sideways out of corners!

All the road stuff is back on it, so that proll why u didnt recognise it, are you guys going to level, for that i'm going to put the slicks back on it. cant wait... what were you guys riding?

    yeah that busa!!!
