    Maybe

Infact the roast did suffer a little neglect last night, but was still bloody yummy Enough left over for cold meat sammies too

Just went and checked my handiwork and the Por 15 has gone off, it is hard as nails (well the stuff I can see is anyway). It can sit and harden right up for the next week, then I will look at putting her back together again, filling her up with petrol and get her running. I really hope the carbs dont have to come off again

you have no idea what a pig of a thing that was to open, I about destroyed the friggen lid all the way around, I was about to turn the sucker over and punch holes in the base I was that frustated

Worst of all, pulling like a mad thing on the lid with pliers while someone holds the can was very risky, this stuff sticks like shit to a blanket I tells ya

I am goth like with my nails today as I managed to get some under them

    Finally

Well, I finally got around to putting the blue lovely back together today after work. Everything went back together no dramas and I had no spare bolts or anything else left over.

I bought some new fuel too this morning, no sense in putting old potentially contaminated fuel back into her shiney clean and sealed tank. Poured new fuel in, turned on the choke and fired her up. She had a bit of a think about starting until the fuel was running and then away she went

While she was apart I took the opportunity to check and lubricate the choke mechanism, CRC is a wonderful thing indeed. Now the choke creeps closed so I had to hold it full on for a little while. Her idle was a bit low until she warmed right up and then she sat there happy as a happy thing idlling away.

No chance to road test her tonight, but will take her for a spin tomorrow.

    Talking I did it!

She is fixed, fixed I tell ya!

Over 200 kms now since I put the tank back on and I can confidently say the issues I have been having are a thing of the past

A few coughs and surges for the first 20 kms I suppose, though nothing as bad as it has been. The corners of my mouth turned down just a little bit, but then I realised it was not doing it anymore Guess she needed a bit of a thrash to clear the system of crappy old fuel.

Today I have done 150 odd k's at a reasonable pace for the most part and not a hint of a problem. YAY!!

Awesome Anne, although time consuming you now have a relatively easy fix that has been needing to be done all along! Ready for that Pataua loop ride now? Heh heh, anytime you feel like it! Us Norfland types LOVE that route!:

I have to admit thinking "who is this man hugging me" for a moment My brain can sometimes take a moment to get up to speed

I cant tell you what a HUGE buzz I have had riding my bike today. You lot who ride these new, fang dangled beasts really have no idea how it is to finally go for a ride and not have the frustration of your bike being very naughty
