Do you mean the final price for the camera was $130 ?
At $0.02 increase per bid, that would mean 6,500 bids were made.
What do people pay for the right to bid on this site?
i.e. How much money did they get for those 6,500 bids?
edit: found it on the site. $0.75 each.
So those 6,500 bids got them $4,875 (+ that $130!).
Someone's "winning"!

Another example off their site:
Lexar CF memory card.
Claimed savings: NZD 167.56
Winning Price NZD 4.74
That means 237 bids were placed. (4.74 / 0.02)
Those bids earned the web site $177.75 (237 x 0.75)
Plus the price "paid" = $182.49 (177.75 + 4.74)
So the website has you thinking someone got a good deal, which they did, but lots and lots of people bought air.

Had a quick look at the finished auctions and there is a 1000 bid pack that was won for $10.14 ($23.66 including the cost of bidding).
Now assuming the winning bidder made about 5 bids (out of a total of 13) then the 1000 bid pack cost him $17.89 which makes the cost of a single bid 1.7 cents instead of the standard price of 75 cents.
The only problem is if they then say the item is out of stock and they send you something else 'more valuable' that you didn't want!
Also the auctions appear to be never ending as long as people keep bidding!?
I just hit them up about their 'help' section saying that bids cost 75 cents when you get charged 90 cents for them.
Turns out its AUD$0.75 per bid.
They are going to refund me 15 cents for every bid I have bought. I havent really spent a lot on this website, but for those who have... hit them up!
Every little bit helps right?

I would be expecting it to turn up, Did they say what model camera it was?
So the Camera I won on BidHere finally arrived this morning. Its brand new and the same model they said they were going to send...
So I guess its not a scamming website after all?
My partner also won a Wii and it has been delivered to (read: I got a Wii for my birthday)![]()
If they really wanted the camera, they do have the option of clicking on "Buy Now", and all the money they have spent on bids for that item are deducted from the price they have to pay. Shipping is still free.
Around Xmas time I'll be looking for a new TV worth a few thousand. I'll bid on one on this site, and if I reach the stage that I've spent 3/4 of the value on bids, then I'll simply withdraw and "Buy Now".
Time to ride
