GS500e idling problem

i have a nice 98 gs500e, runs like a champ. only thing is, even after it is warmed up, it splutters and almost dies when coming to a stop to turn, and then jerks a little when taking off. this only lasts about 5 mins or so into riding, but i dont like it. i give it a good few mins to warm up, and can feel the air coming out of exaust is warm before starting out. someone mentioned adding something to gas after filling up will take care of this. if this is right, what is it and how much should i be putting in?

The idle speed could just be set too low? What does it idle at?

The adding thing will be chucking some meths in to get rid of any water in the petrol that would make the bike run rough.

If its all good when its warmed up then you need to use the choke for a bit longer.

What Frosty said,when you set off leave the choke on awhile,not so its reving its nuts off just enough to keep it idling high.

But he's said even after it's warmed up it still dies when coming to a stop, not that it's all good after warmed up.

So yeah I still reckon idle speed too low, what does it idle at when warmed up?

Methinks hes not warming it up enough.Though injected my old TLS takes forever to warm up enouigh to idle with the fast idle lever off.

I think maybee his definition of warmed up might be a bit off. If its an idle issue then the problem wont go away at all --yet after 5 minutes it does so I came to conclusion he needs a couple more minutes on HALF choke maybee

Not that I have any mechanical knowledge but my GS500e has to have a bit of choke when it's a chilly morning They're a great bike eh!
