Shaved my first sheep today!

Well might as well of been a sheep.

Our spoodle Dakota was speyed recently and despite all the warnings about how her fur would change we weren't cruel enough to be kind to her by getting her well used to a good solid groom every day

SO - poor baby had a few Marley style dredlocks in a few places so we got some pet clippers off Trade me and started the day by taking all the worst bits off....after covering the lounge floor we realised that there was nothing better for it than to take her fur off all over - much tidier anyway given the length of the fur around the large holes that the dredlocks created.

We filled two pak n save bags full and she is prancing around in one of Sully ones baby jerserys. She feels like a Devon Rex cat now...velvety and very warm.

Stirts...check out the difference in paw size - remember when you said she is going to be massive

she is fully grown and her size was ALL fur.

Anyway what a mission and a funny one at that - thankfully she was very good and stood pretty still once she realised it wasn't going to hurt...well not until she sees her reflection for the first time anyway

She looks really happy about the hair cut

If she plays up when you cut her hair just do what I do with Maha. Threaten to take the comb off and give him a really close shave

Ummm there was no comb....the dreds were too close to the skin - she is like Mahas freshly shaved head all over

Except it ain't prickly in places

Here this will give you another giggle...tee hee hee still haven't gotten used to the way she looks - so gangly and now much smaller looking against the cats - they should be feeling quite brave actually!

She does feel gorgeous though - velvety and warm.

Bastard!............Spent 15 minutes looking through the garage for me velcro gloves in expectation of some luverly shaved sheep porn, only to find you're talkin' about yer bloody pooch
