    Oldie newbie (eh?)

    Hey guys,

Good to be on board, looks like a fun place to waste time!

After over 20 years without a bike, I've recently got back in the saddle. I bought an old Yamaha SR250 to get me moving, but it was soon traded in on a Virago 1100 - I'm in love! It gets plenty of weekend use, mainly in and around Dunedin and Central Otago.

I'm looking at joining the local Ulysses group, I guess that being on the wrong side of 40 now means I qualify for membership!

Looking forward to hanging out with you all.

    Welcome.

If, like me, you are under 50, you will be a Junoir Ulysses member. Not bad, eh!

Welcome back to the fold M8. I bet it feels good to be back on a bike after 20 years.
I've not been a member of KB long but they are really nice bunch on here and I'm sure they will make you most welcome.

Heh not sure I agree with the name but then I'm young and don't need it. Love the Virago though great bikes them. And it wasn't so much loose gravel as the cager pushin me off the road.

Yeah - and being a short-arse I have found something that will go fast AND allow me to put my feet on the ground when I stop!

Cool? I get tooted at for being stopped at green lights - too busy admiring the reflection of my own bike in shop windows. Sad....

Hehe yea cost about $2500 to replace all the broken bits but I got it down to $1,313. That's ordering from Japan and Aussie for new parts. Hopin to find some Wreckers that have them cheaper.
