Still using the old Mitsa vans but with the new camera on the "K" band.
Bugger all warning from the X50... just as well you can see them miles away...

I have just checked on the Radar Direct site and note that they have recommended to turn on K band.
I have been wondering why recently the Bel has not been going off when passing the camera vans.
Thanks for the tip.
Did you wave at it?![]()
Good on ya for the heads up. I keep telling people to make their fairings so they look like the sides of a stealth bomber, so the rays dont bounce back to the cameras
Thats whats up.
You should've thrown a bottle or a brick at that van.

I don't have a radar detector - but it's got me curious. What is the disadvantage of enabling K band detection (i.e. why isn't it on by default)? Is it prone to spurious false positives or is there some other reason?
The chances of anything coming from Mars are a million to one, he said.
All the crap is located on that band. Garage door openers, alarms, etc. The ecilop's also like to hide in areas that have an abundance of "clutter" to hide their signal in. Currently, the fixed-pole speed indication devices (NOW SLOW!) are a favoured spot to hide near, so when you have K active, keep alert...
