    Qualifying
i was feeling really good and was suprised by the stopping power from the new vesrah brake pads which i fitted 2 weeks ago. i got a best lap of 1.35.435 which was good enough for 7th ss150. I had David to my right and Russell to my left both of who i wanted to beat.

    Race 1
I got a great launch but dropped it down to many gears into turn 1 which locked up the back wheel which made me lose a couple of positions. i started getting positions back and then focussed on getting Russell and Alex. i got passed them and relaxed for the rest of the race. i finished in 5th place with ryan in front of me and russell behind me. i got a new PB of 1.32.701.

    Race 2
got a great start only for the race to be red flagged as i went into splash. I got another good startand was happy to be towards the front of the pack into turn 1. my aim was to stick with Malcom but that didn't last long as i had Tyler and Ryan to battle. on lap 6 i got a false nuetrel at the hairpin and ran wide forcing tyler of the track and he crashed (sorry about that Tyler). i then had to catch back up to ryan which i did and beat him with a gap of 0.985. i got a best lap of 1.33.268.

A big thank you to Russell for letting me take his 400 out during the lunch break and get some laps on a bike that is 'big' for me, it was awesome to be out there on a bike that actually has some power unlike the 150. I will definatley be trying my hardest to be racing a 400 next season.

I would like to thank my Uncle Lionel www.rmhc.org.nz and whites powersports for the Teknic leathers and Shoei helmet www.whites.co.nz. Elizabeth taylor graphics for some of the stickers on my bike www.etgraphics.co.nz. bikers against drunk drivers www.badd.co.nz

Awesome stuff Jeff! You have really impressed me with your commitment and improvements this year! You're looking great out there. You're going to have a great year next year no matter what you ride. Go hard man!

You're another one who I really admire man. Getting to the track and racing has required mega commitment at times, but you always give it heaps. Thanks for your help on saturday as well.
