    Mossy round 6 footage added

Turned up at the track with wet on front and slick on rear going for a bob each way.Track dry so change the front and set up.
Qualify session was a mixed bag.Started out running in tyres and pads with new untuned fcrs so didnt know what to expect.Bike felt very slow during first few laps then the fcrs sprung to life with 3/4 throttle so they are quite rich.Settled into 3/4 throttle and then opening them up near the top of the rev range and the lap times got quicker.Qualified first on the grid.

Race one and good start.Dave Freeman managed to get up beside me into corner one but waited on the brakes and came around leading.Opened a gap and started matching times with Martin Peck who managed to move his fastest lap from 1.19.9 to 1.16.2.Hows that for breaking PB?
Checked behind for the others at hairpin each lap and when Martin didnt show though he had managed to get in close behind so wound up a gear a beat PB by a small fraction to 1.15.6 .Three laps to go and well clear bike started to miss and relised it had hit reserve and retarded its timing onto maintence fuel preserve.Wished I hadnt plugged it in but short shifted it around as it wouldnt go above 9th and finished up with 8sec win.FCRs suck fuel like nothing else.About 10mm fuel in tank base so fill it higher next time.

Race two .Start bike up and the death rattle sounds coming from engine. Please hold together.Average start and in forth through infield catch and pass Murrey with little nudge on the way through just about sending me to the grass.Catch up on Dave and go into engine conserve so much so that Neil turns up at the hairpin and pokes it in underneath.A little to reserved.Finish with another 8 sec win so very happy with the increased pick up with the FCRs.

Load bike and take it To Martin Pecks and pull the off fairings, carbs and drain oil.Quick meal that Annette cooked for us and off to clubrooms.Only person who cooks as well as Martin is his wife.
Another great night put on by vmcc. Thanks guys.

Back at Martins download the footage to see if I had caught Martins lawnmowing exercise into Higgins in race one as the cam was facing backwards but didnt quite have him in shot.

Sunday cooked breakfast Irish style(thanks again Annette) then whip the motor out and strip the top end.Bores were good but valve stem seels might as well not been there as the valves dropped out without assistance.Time for rebore and wiseco kit and still searching for rattle.Head is not best and everything needs matched.1mm lip off the intakes to head and exaust gaskets are couple mm smaller internally than yoshi headers so martin is going to do mild head work to get everthing matched.Inlet rubbers are 2mm smaller inside than carbs so they need sorted also.Should have faster bike next year which will help set some faster laps.

Thanks vmmc, thanks Martin and all the guys in posties.
Thanks sponsors Ideal Electrical Suppliers for tyres .
Motorad for parts and service .
Motormart for dyno tuning the troublesome cv carbs .

Looking forward to rebuilt bike and maybe round one tri series if its finished and run in.

Excellent skills mossy. You got plans over the summer? Your bike is going to be a serious weapon once you get the creases ironed out.

    Well done old chap.
It looks like you will have some competion next year, with Paul boring out his gixxer and Martin lapping in the low 1:16's.
I might even be tempted to do the whole series. (1216 pistons are on there way. )
Pass on my congrat's to Martin when you see him, on his PB.
How to make a small fortune out of motorcycle racing, start out with a BIG fortune
