Ok I have just signed up for this Rally. Getting confused with diff threads etc. So I gather we all meeting up in Hamilton at 09.30. So there is a pack of us leaving Auckland together to get there? So the final details are? Can someone just lay it on a plate for me? Cheers

THE AUCKLAND CREW - LISTEN UP!!

go to the Paps' Autobahn at 8am locked 'n' loaded. I won't be there now.

Ride/drive down SH1 until you get into Hammy. Off the second round about (a new one has been put in before the one you want) on the right there's a Harvey Norman retail store. Turn right at this round about and then the next right, so that you are behind the store. Be there for 9.30am and then that's where the Hammy lot will be with our fearless leader, the great Quasievil and me. From there, we take off to Taupo.

    FUEL
Fill up at the BP when you meet. You will need a range of 230ks+. If you cannot make this distance on one tank (remember fuel will last a little longer cos you'll be cruising, and not having to idle etc), then fill up again at the BP that we use at the end of the 22. If this is going to split the group then arrange this before you leave the service park.

If there's any more doubt, then say now!!!!!!!!!
btw i will be in hammy already

Bloody Hell Alex, what is it you do in the Navy , not navigation I hope

anyway, I think you mean,From Ngaruawhia down H/way 39(thats the road that leads to Whatawhata.. the left turn you are trying to describe would be at " Te Kowhai", from there its a cool fast road lots of good corners, till you get to the railway level crossing, once over the tracks the next turn on your left is the road that we meet on last year at the back of Harvey Normans.

    Hey Swanman

As Im heading down from the North you wanna meet this side of the bridge? Doesnt have to be a major...side of the motorway or summit will do. Just make the blat down to Papukura a tad less lonely. If you can keep up with me that is

there won't be any traffic, so around 100kph, it's not all that far away.
at 'incredibly license loosing speeds', it brings it down to around 10 mins..

the whole trip isn't 230ks away. pfft, add the rest..
~230ks is roughly the distance from Paps autobharararararn to the next 'scheduled' pitstop. THe BP at the end of the 22 is a 'saviour' for those who want to go in second gear pulling wheelies all the way cos they're bored..
After ~230ks, we stop for gas and food, i think..
