So now it's really out there... (Article on Grub's death)

Coming up one year now with the inquest into Grubs death tomorrow it fit to make some noise about what happened around his accident.

He didn't die for nothing ... there are changes ... those changes will help everyone, those who ride and those who live in "bum fuck" nowhere' ... now everyone knows the timeframe .. and the screwups that led to his death. Those on the scene and who looked after my darling, my lover did an awesome job (you don't know how much I appreciate you) ....

    Well done Nasty!

What an amazing article, all those details out there so people can see how badly Grub was let down by the ambulance service. I hope they have the good grace to contact you today to update you on how much progress they have actually made in implementing the changes they need to.

    Well done you!

Such a terrible price to be paid for the amazing result you have achieved. There will no doubt be a lot of lives saved through your efforts. You both have made an enormous difference; thank you for the dedication through your heartache Nasty.

I did not know the circumstances - but it is disgusting to see the huge breakdown in the system we are supposed to trust in.

May you have strength for tomorrow

Yes, good to see something positive coming out of it. http://myaddress.co.nz should help this not happening again we hope.

Glad to see there's not been a whitewash like what happened with a friend of ours in Christchurch Hospital Mental Health Unit.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Personally I dont think there could have been a whitewash, Nasty simply has not let things lie at all, she has been very proactive in following up and keeping gentle but sustained pressure on through this process. It will be very interesting to see what the coronor has to say tomorrow

We are all right behind you Kari. Exposing incompetence and getting it 'corrected' is a wonderful legacy for Brett.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Fantastic effort there Kari. I truly really hope that this sort of problem can now be resolved and no one else ends up going down the same path. Thinking of you for tomorrow & look for to riding with you on the 1000k.
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
